A body accelerating without any force...

一个物体在没有任何作用力的情况下加速
I can say Newton is wrong

or I can say maybe there's a new force between that body and this body,

或者说这两个物体之间有一种新的力
and that will turn out to be the electrical force.

Electrical force occurs whenever you take something,

不管什么东西都会产生电作用力
you take a cat and you take a piece of amber or you rub it,

你可以拿一只猫然后拿一块琥珀摩擦它
you do various things,

你也可以用其它方法
then you put them next to other things

然后把它们放在其它物体旁边
and they're attracted or repelled,

它们就会互相吸引或者排斥
and you discover you're charging things,

你发现你能使物体带电
and that's how electricity was discovered.

这就是发现电的过程
But you don't have to have a cat;
