You have some initial hypotheses.

Then you move to observation, sensual observation,

and from the sensual observation you make inductions.

And you make that and you test your hypotheses.

That's how it we would say it today.

And this is what Bacon learned from Galileo and adapted his methodology.

Now this is René Descartes,

one of the greatest philosophers of his times and of all times.

Descartes ascribed to something what I call dualism. Right?
