some of these restaurants are clean and some of them are not so clean.
-
Is this true? So it turns out that until the late nineties,
-
the Los Angeles Municipality rules, local law,
-
said that every restaurant in Los Angeles County,
-
I think it was, had to get visited by the health inspector.
-
And the health inspector would come around, I think it was annually,
-
and go to these restaurants and they would issue a certificate,
-
and this was a health certificate and written on it large letters,
-
I think they were red letters, was either A, or B, or C.
-
There may even have been A- as well,
-
but for the purpose of the story let's just call it A, B, and C.
-
Now that was all the law said.
