what Acts says is his hometown.

they only heard it said,

"The one who formerly was persecuting us is now

proclaiming the faith he once tried to destroy.

现在传扬他原先所残害的真道"
And they glorified God.

他们赞美上帝
"I was not known by sight,"

"都没有见过我的面"
they heard my reputation,

他们悉数我的名
they heard that I had persecuted followers of Jesus,

听到我曾亲自迫害耶稣的信徒
but nobody, no follower of Jesus in Judea knew what I looked like

但是犹太没有耶稣的信徒知道我的样子
