you'll notice that the writer of the Gospel of Luke

uses this passage out of Mark and he edits it,

to add in the destruction of the temple before Jesus comes back.

The reason?

Because the writer of Luke knew that the temple had been destroyed.

Why doesn't Mark tell about it?

Because he doesn't know yet that it's been destroyed.
